Hogan Assessments is a world leader in personality assessment and leadership development.
It was created in 1987 and is based on more than 30 years of research on the correlation between personality assessment and professional performance.
Currently, the assessment tools are used in 56 countries and 47 languages (including Latvian). With Hogan Assessments tools, it is possible to get answers to 3 important questions that have an impact on the activities and performance of leaders and managers in the organization:
1. What does a person want?
Financial security? The ability to innovate? The desire to create change? People’s core motivations, values, and unconscious biases influence all areas of their lives.
2. How will it be achieved?
Career success depends not only on education, experience and technical skills, but also on personality. The “bright sides” of personality, or everyday character traits, predict success in career, relationships, education and life.
3. What will be the obstacles?
When people stop “monitoring” themselves, strengths can turn into weaknesses. If these “dark sides” of personality traits are not recognized, they can ruin or negatively affect career and organizational success.

- Senior managers (board, executive, company management)

The three main assessments
Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI)
The HPI examines the bright side of personality – everyday characteristics, behavioral traits that affect a person’s interactions with others, as well as have an impact on career growth. Information is obtained about both the strengths and weaknesses of a person.
The HPI measures a person’s reputation in 7 scales with 42 subscales: adaptability, ambition, sociability, interpersonal sensitivity, prudence, curiosity, approach to learning.
Hogan Developmental Study (HDS)
HDS determines the dark sides of a person’s personality, which are unconscious tendencies and actions in stressful and pressured situations, thus limiting career potential. Created in 1997, it is the only personality assessment that identifies critical blind spots.
HDS measures a person’s reputation on 11 scales with 33 subscales: excitability, skepticism, caution, restraint, leisurelyness, courage, playfulness, vivid personality, imagination, diligence, conscientiousness.
Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI)
MVPI assesses a person’s main motives, values, and preferences regarding work and the work environment that would be most suitable for future development, based on values and motives. It is also possible to predict what leadership style a person will use in cooperation with a team.
MVPI measures a person’s identity on 10 scales with 50 subscales: recognition, power, hedonism, altruism, belonging, traditions, security, commerce, aesthetics, science.
